Sitting in his office at the back of his store and doing some paper work he was delayed with, Daniel Green sighed as it was the only one part of running a business he didn't like. But he couldn't complain. This store was his big success and he was proud of what he had managed to achieve with his hard work and determination. He planned it for a long time yet when he was a Hogwarts student. And he had very good memories from after just two years of the store existence. That time his wife has been poisoned. Some other than Daniel would be broken, a woman he got married with was murdered. But he was not some other. A poison used for the kill was purchased from his very store. Another thing to be devastated from, his product killed his dearest wife! But the case was that she wasn't that dearest and it was not a coincidence that he's been selling that certain poison. All should be obvious but it wasn't as Daniel had a great alibi, the creep that actually agreed to kill the young woman off was never found and what probably the most important everyone saw them as a good couple for these three years they were married. Daniel made sure about it. He even cried, no matter the tears were false or not.

Dan looked up at the shelves above his desk as if looking for something to distract him or more important yet interesting to do. He spotted a corked flask with a poison that killed his spouse. He immediately thought about her. She wasn't his choice but his parents'. She was just one of his school flings and he didn't like her shortly after. Yet, his parents thought she would be a good wife material for their younger son. He didn't love her, he even wasn't sure if he was able to love. But he agreed to marry her just so he didn't let his parents down. But he was free of her for six years now and he didn't look for another Mrs. Green so far.

Signing some papers he heard knocking on the window. He turned his head towards the sound and saw an owl sitting on the window sill. He raised a brow. He already got the daily prophet today and if anyone he knew wanted anything from him, they knew where to find him at that hour. But he stood up from the chair he sat on and opened the window to let the owl in. He untied the piece of parchment attached to its leg as it let out hooting sound and flew into his office and sat on the inside window sill. Dan didn't recognize the writing and it was nothing weird. The letter wasn't for him but his older brother, Roger. Daniel smiled at this small mistake. He looked at the bird that brought it. It looked odd to him. But he shrugged and put a letter into his pocket. Danny actually planned on visiting his big brother today but set it for later. He walked over to a cupboard, opened it and took a bottle of tequila out of it setting it on his desk. Then he left his office, walked over to his assistant and told him to keep an eye on the business and close it on time, just to get back to his office again and relax with a glass of an alcohol.

As the hours,the minutes and the seconds passed by on this day, Aaron Robertson walked back to his office after a long and slow trial in the courtroom. He walked down the hallway and ignored some of the people he knew always wanted to chat with him, but right now Aaron wasn`t in the mood for those little chats. He had enough of talking at work today. Aaron loved his job ,it made him feel more powerful somehow and he liked that alot.But right now he was a bit tired and wasn`t in the mood to talk to that much people. As he reached his office and entered, he closed the door and locked it. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and took a deep breath. A slight headache was building up inside his mind and it made him more annoyed. He walked over to his desk and opened the one drawer and took out some very good painkillers that would help alot on his headache right now. He turned and faced the cabinet behind him and opened the one door and took out the whiskey bottle he had hidden in there. He poured it into a glass and but the bottle back in before he took a seat and put the painkillers in his mouth and poured it down with the whiskey. He took off his tie and put it on the desk and put his feet up on the desk as well and was sitting in a relaxed pose. Aaron had had enough for one day now at work, this was by far the most intense day at work he had been through in a long time. He relaxed for a little bit,and felt that the painkillers started to show effect.


As he had been sitting like that for about twenty minutes behind his locked door, he was ready to leave. He grabbed his bag and unlocked the door and stepped outside, locked the door again and left the building. Aaron walked down the street and suddenly felt like visiting someone, his best friend Daniel Green. He headed on his way to Daniel`s store. After a while he was outside the store and looked in through the window , but he didn`t see anyone so he knocked on the window and then the door. A few seconds later, Daniel`s assistant appeared and opened the door just about to leave. But Aaron said he was here to meet Daniel and walked inside, locked the door for the assistant and walked to Daniel`s office and knocked on the door before he entered.


"Hey there Danny boy " Aaron said to his friend and walked in. "what`s up ?" he asked him and took a seat on the one chair that was in there and looked at him. He leaned back and now the headache was almost gone. He smiled some to him and saw the bottle of tequila standing on his desk.

Sitting at his desk with a glass in one hand Daniel thought about the time he was at Hogwarts. He was such a bad student then. Not so bad when it came to Potions and Dark Magic but other subjects weren't his favourite and he didn't excel in them. But school subjects weren't what made him a bad student. He was a rebel, he was a bully. He made fun of younger or weaker students. He treated females like his personal toys, something to entertain him. He thought he ruled that school. He did in a way as he had many students and teachers in his palms. Many people wanted to be friends with him because he was so popular and because it was better to be his friend than enemy. But he truly had only one real friend and what's surprising it wasn't some nasty Slytherin like himself, no. It was a year younger Ravenclaw he found so many things in common with. Aaron Robertson was his name. Daniel and Aaron were unstoppable together. He taught his dear friend how to pick up girls, what to say what to do. He was happy when Aaron got laid finally. It was his first real success as a tutor. Daniel was always good at reading people, their faces, their moves, words behind words. He knew how women worked and shared it with Aaron. He was sure said ravenclaw was grateful for that to this day.

Suddenly a knock on his door knocked him out of his thoughts. Seconds after the devil walked into his office. Daniel smiled at his dear friend. It seemed like yesterday they've seen each other. Actually they did. They went to a pub together, drank with some girls and in the end each of them went with one girl home. But the next day meant work and Daniel wasn't happy with that. He would much rather stay in bed with the girl he brought and maybe do her again then go to his damn store and customise. But at least this store was his big success. At least he did what he liked, brewing potions, mostly poisoned but it was the case, was it not? Daniel didn't even have to tell Aaron to have a seat. His friend felt so familiar with this place that it was pointless. It was unbelievable how much time the two spent together, it was almost sick. But they were like brother since Hogwarts. Of course Daniel had real brother, Roger but the thing was that he was ten years older than him and this big difference made difference. He needed someone closer to his age, he found Aaron. "Same old, same old, my dear." he said using the term you would rather use for your lover or someone similar. But it was the way they were, always teasing each other, sometimes in a more gay way they cared to admit. Of course they were hundred percent straight but it was just the way of joking, sense of humour they understood. "Why don't you pour yourself a shot?" he said lighting up a cigarette.

Aaron smiled as Daniel came up with his usual jokes as he entered. Those two were best friends no matter what. No one had really seen that one coming, that a slytherin and a ravenclaw would ever get along like Daniel and Aaron, but they did. "Yes why not " Aaron said and poured himself some of the drink into his glass and got back into the chair and looked at his friend. He looked thoughtful , by now Aaron was pretty good at reading Daniel`s face.Aaron sipped his drink a bit and looked around some in the office he had been so many times before. "look like you got something on your mind ,wanna talk ? " Aaron asked him and looked at him. He had always been able to talk to Daniel about everything, there was nothing he was keeping away from him. Aaron liked getting Daniel`s opinion on things they were discussing. And Aaron was the same way back, he was a man of honesty and liked saying what was on his mind. As the headache was gone now, he smiled some and relaxed more.

Daniel was the brother Aaron never had or ever got. So he liked hanging out with Daniel, especially back at Hogwart`s, no one was cooler than Daniel back in the days. Aaron wanted to be just like him and looked up to him back then, some part of him still does and loves Daniel,like a friend and a brother. After another drink Aaron filled Daniel in on his days at work and sighed ,talking about some of the people he has to work with. He also talked about women ,and about the giril he met yesterday in the bar, when they went there and brought her home. He had a fantastic night, and smiled some. But of course it didn`t turn out to something romantic, and Aaron was pretty fine with that, he was pretty sure that he would never find a girl good enough to make him fall in love with her. He poured himself another drink.

As he lit his cigarette he took one big draw and exhaled the smoke up in the air in his office. He had an urge to blow the smoke into Aaron's face because he knew that even though his friend smoked he didn't like it and it was something that never got old. But he didn't do it this time just watched him pour himself a glass. Dan shook some of the ash from his cigarette into the ashtray on his desk and took another draw exhaling the smoke before he drank it up with tequila in his glass. The he heard his friend speak so he looked at him. Danny indeed had something on his mind. Something he never thought he would be considering. But this meant money and money meant a lot for this guy. The shop gave him lots but it never seemed enough for him. Green nodded to his friend letting him know he had something on his mind and did want to talk. Who else would he talk first if not Aaron? After all his opinion meant something to him. He was like his younger brother at last. "I'll tell you in a bit. First what's up with you, mister lawyer." he said with a playful wink. Dan still couldn't believe that such a rebel like Aaron Robertson worked for Department of Magical Law Enforcement. But apparently he always wanted to be a lawyer and Dan was happy his best friend went the way he was pleased. And his profession worked well on females, he had to admit. Apparently women thought lawyers were naughty and Danny could confirm Aaron was in that club. How come he knew? Well, they went out together to pick up some chicks many time and he saw him in action. And of course the two shared their adventures with girls all the time. Aaron was a very honest person so Dan knew he gave him nothing but truth.

He laughed at the story his mate gave him about all the people at his work place and how his day went. It didn't sound like fun to Daniel but he wouldn't miss an opportunity to laugh and/or mock Aaron for working in a place like this. He gave him one of his usual comments about it and laughed some more taking a sip from his glass. He threw a dib into the ashtray and was about to reach for another cancer stick when Aaron started to talk about the girl he met at the bar last night when they went together. Oh it was nice to hear it went smooth for him. It was a proof they picked well. The two hot girl friends alone in the bar. They just had to walked over to them and charm them to move it further and take them for some wild fun eventually. Dan congratulated Aaron his night and told him about his equally fantastic. Then he finally lit another cigarette, took a draw and looked at his companion with a small sigh. So, want to hear about what you asked me earlier?" he asked and wet his lips with the last sip of his tequila. "I got an offer to consider. It's something I never thought of doing." he started. He really didn't think it would ever happen. Primo, he hated kids. Secondo, he was too impatient. Tetrio, he was too stict. And quatro, he hated kids! But he would make more money. He would have an eye on his nieces and nephews. "They want me to teach Potions at Hogwarts."

Aaron was sitting being all relaxed in the chair and with the drink in his hand. He looked over at Daniel as he lit a cigarette ,and waited for his usual habit to kick in, blowing the smoke in his face. But this time he didn`t do it, Aaron wasn`t very much fan of getting smoke blown into his face. He sipped his drink some. As he looked at Daniel and gave a sign of that he had something on his mind, Aaron smiles some. "Yeah sure man, i have plenty of time to wait " Aaron said and smiled some more to him,but then Daniel asked what was up with him. Aaron sighed "well..mostly work is taking my time and my clients of course. " Aaron said. "But besides that, women and booze my friend " he also said and smirked to him. Aaron was very fond of women ,just like Daniel was,and the women were very fond of the two friends as well, everytime they went out some girl or girls came up to their table and wanted to connect with them in some certain ways. Aaron didn`t mind that, he loved the attention from the females. And Aaron also knew that being a lawyer made him a lot more interesting. He had experienced that most of the times ,even some of his female clients had hit on him, even though they were married or engaged. Aaron was flattered by that. Aaron smiled as Daniel said it went well with the girl he brought to his place from the bar as well. The two knew how to pick them. He watched his friend lit another cigarette.

He looked at Daniel as he spoke and nodded to him. He was ready to hear what he had to say. "Really? well what offer is that then ?" Aaron asked him and smiled some, sipping his drink some more. As Daniel told him what offer he had gotten ,Aaron got a bit surprised by that. "Teach potions at Hogwarts..well that`s great isn`t it ?" he asked him and smiled a bit wider."You teaching all those kids ,Professor Green " Aaron said and grinned. He knew how Daniel was not fond of kids , at all. Just like Aaron who wasn`t very fond of kids either. But maybe Daniel would be great at that job. He sipped his drink some more and wondered what Daniel would do about that offer, if he would take if or not. But he was sure that he also wanted to know Aaron`s opinion on it. "Is this something that you would ever consider to do ?" he asked him and looked at Daniel. But now Aaron was gonna let his friend speak his mind and listen to him,and then help him out.

Work, women and booze were indelible symbols of their lives. The two school friends and best friends to this day had many things in common, were so alike even though it doesn't seem like it. Of course they were in two different school houses back then in the past and Aaron was more studious, stood more in the light while Daniel shirked his duties and was more in the dark. He had this darkness in his heart and mind to this day and never denied it. And of course Daniel was more popular those days but Aaron fitted in pretty well after a Slytherin somewhat took him under his wing. "Same here, same here." he said returning a smirk. And it was nothing new but they never seemed to be bored with listening about it.

The two were also not fond of children. Somebody else's kids annoyed them and the thought of having their own avoided their heads because the answer would always be No! Categorically no! That's why they didn't really do relationships. Some of the females they 'dated', and that's for sure, wanted to have children. But these two weren't ready to be fathers and probably never would. Dan was sure his dead wife wanted to have a baby, their parents would be happy as well if another Green was born, but that's why he tried his best not to knock her up during three years of their marriage before he decided poison her.

Danny waited for his friend to speak. He looked pretty surprised but who wouldn't be? However, Aaron seemed to be happy with the news his brother-like friend brought him. It looked like he congratulated him but then this wide grin appeared on his face and it was a sign that it was Aaron's turn to mock him. 'all those kids', 'professor Green' these were words he heard louder and made him frown. Of course Professor Green sounded eminent and respectfully in a way but kids... he felt like he would rather kill them all then teach them anything. But maybe his strict nature, perspective of being someone's mentor and what most important his knowledge about and natural talent to potions would help. "oh shut up!" he rolled his eyes irritated a bit. It was just a joke that's why Dan didn't mean it for real. "I wanted to get out of that place as soon as possible and start my own business. So no, I wouldn't be considering it, unless I received a letter from Headmaster which I did." Dan stuck his cigarette between teeth and opened a drawer of his desk to look for mentioned letter. When he found it, he handed it to Aaron and took another draw of cigarette exhaling the smoke after.

Aaron had to grin at his friend. It was always fun to mock Daniel. They usually laughed at it anyways,they never took it too personally. He looked at Daniel and smiled some to him. "Oh you did recieve a letter from them as well " Aaron said to him and looked at him as he fished out the letter from the drawer and handed it to him. He grabbed the letter and read it and smiled some when he was done reading it after a few minutes. He looked at Daniel and took a sip of the drink he had. "Well..i think it`s a good thing for you to get this chance man, you`re gonna do great at it" Aaron said and supported his frother. Aaron called Daniel frother as it seemed easier to say it, putting friend and brother together in one word. "We need to drink for this frother " Aaron said to him and smiled some more and sipped his drink more. Aaron on the other hand was just glad he was done with that school, he had spent his time at Hogwarts and that was good enough for him.

He put the letter down on the desk and leaned back in the chair and relaxed some. Aaron looked around in the office and smiled some "Do you remember when we used to prank girls by giving them candy that turned their mouth blue ?" he asked Daniel and grinned. The two had a lot of good moments together and did a lot of pranks on others. But now that they were grown up,pranking people wasn`t happening that much anymore now. Aaron had mostly stopped doing it after he became a lawyer. Becoming a more serious man was just something he had to become. He loved his job and then he couldn`t act like a little kid again, even though he does when he`s around Daniel, and that was never gonna stop happening either. He sipped his drink some more and loved the taste of it. "We should go out sometime soon Daniel " Aaron said to him and smiled some.
